IJSE is committed to an open-access publishing model that enables readers worldwide to access, read and benefit from published scholarly research without unnecessary barriers. The policy promotes knowledge dissemination, academic collaboration and research visibility, supporting sustainable development and global scholarly engagement while maintaining rigorous peer review, publication ethics and editorial quality standards.

What open access means at IJSE

• Published articles are free to read and download, with no subscription or registration required.
• Open access does not lower the standard of review. Every manuscript goes through the same editorial screening and peer review.
• The terms under which articles may be reused will be stated with each published article.
• Any fees authors may be asked to pay are set out on the Fees & Payment page and are communicated before acceptance.

Editorial decisions are independent. Payment of a fee, or a donation to the journal, never influences peer review or acceptance.
